This NEW Working grandfather clock is Chinoiserie in style, drawing its inspiration from the chinese style of painting nature and in particular, tropical birds, flowers, courtesans, and elaborate garden scenes, which was made popular in the west by trade goods from the far east from the Georgian period onwards. The designs are usually asymmetrical with skewed perspective.
This clock features applied panels with hand painted details and accents as well as hand painted red and gold on the case of the clock and around the face.
The clock works like a wrist watch mechanism and comes with battery installed. Should the battery need changing the clock face pushes out from the back.
