This is one of the first of my new ‘Chateau Chic’ range and is my first fully 3D printed working clock. I will be writing more about its creation on the 3D printing blog soon. but after printing I hand paint and decorate it before installing a working clock movement.
The Chateau Chic range is inspired by the exuberant french style of the 18th century, in particular by Le Petit Trianon palace attached to Versailles. The decoration is light and colourful but with less of the gilded baroque of Versailles.
The clock comes in a cream finish with pale blue detailing and a little gilt highlighting. The clock works like a wrist watch mechanism and comes with battery installed. Should the battery need changing the clock face pushes out from the back.
