This is a 1911 ‘Stanley Steamer’ which has seen better days and is in the workshop for some much needed repairs and restoration!
It is a cast metal model originally sold as a collectable and so is incredibly detailed and quite heavy. For example the bonnet/hood is fixed open to show the boiler (not engine!) I have then aged and rusted it, it comes with jack, loose wheel, tools, toolbox, bucket, scrubbing brush, oil tray, oil can and tools.

Please note this is a quality cast metal collectable which I age and dress, and features high quality detailing to accurately replicate the original 1911 car. Steam cars were quiet, clean, powerful, and fast, but were also very complicated to drive. After going through the 17 steps necessary to start this car and then waiting 30 to 40 minutes for enough steam pressure to build, a driver could expect to travel about 35 to 45 miles before needing to stop and refill the 28-gallon tank with water.
This is the same model of car featured in the recent TV series where John Sargent travels around the UK only using steam powered transport.
