This new table and chair set is part of the ‘mix and match’ Monet kitchen range – inspired by the kitchen of the painter Monet’s house in Giverney in France. These pieces will sit with any of the other pieces in the range to create a more eclectic kitchen scene, suggesting the pieces were added over time.
The scene has a story to it… there are two place settings with tea and cakes, and alongside the vacant chairs for the ‘workers’ there are two chairs which contain a basket of clothes to be ironed and some folded over a chair which have been ironed but not hung.
Behind the flowers in a jam jar is another stack of finished ironing complete with a pressing cloth and iron stood on it.
Clearly its time for a break before tackling what’s in the basket… There is always time for tea and cake!
The chairs are in a dark blue with hand painted white daisies on both the front and back of the chair top to match the floral padded seat cushions. The round four legged table had mid blue legs and a wooden top.
