The Morris bedroom is a one off and is inspired by the British Arts and Crafts movement made popular by William Morris in the mid 19th century.
The set consists of bed, wardrobe, two bedside tables with working electric lights, dressing table and stool.
The fabric is a classic arts and crafts design with whiplash foliage and stylised flowers, the furniture is painted matt green to pick up on the fabric colours and is highlighted in bright gold to add a little of Augustus Pugin’s gothic feel from his designs for the Houses of Parliament.
The furniture is covered in matching panels of the bedcover fabric – including the five tiny ones on the foot of the bed.
The stylish drop handles on the dresser are in black iron to reflect the arts and crafts ethic – ‘Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to beautiful’
