This Jesmond was created to match the exuberant styles Jesmond china I produce for the dining and banqueting tables.
This gloss mahogany buffet or sideboard (or Huntboard in the US) is Queen Anne in style, although the term predominantly describes furniture from the 1720’s to 1760s – even though queen Anne reigned earlier than that (1702-14), and the name was first applied to the style more than a century after it was fashionable! The cabriole (or Queen Anne) leg is the most recognisable element of of the style, and was influenced by the Rococo
style from the French court of Louis XV.
The buffet has queen Anne legs, six drawers with large brass drawer pulls. Sitting on the top are five ornaments to match the style of the Masons dining room (see separate listings) with a large central urn on stand with two china cake stands with gilt handles in front and flanked by ewers (jugs).
All the ornaments are my exclusive designs which I 3D print then hand paint and gild (the cake stands have real china tops which I decorate in the same way as I do the Jesmond dinner service plates).
The buffet can be custom made in different wood colours (ie walnut, or painted – with satin and matt finishes) and different ornaments or contents (drinks and cigars, serving cakes etc).Take a look in the GALLERY section for ideas – and feel free to get in touch to discuss yours!
