Dolly is one of my newest dolls and I have to say my favourite! – I love her sour expression, you just would not want to walk across her freshly mopped floor!
She wears a pretty floral dress covered by a blue polka dot apron, and holds a large bucket full of water and a wet cloth in one hand and a wet mop in the other. She is completely free standing and does not require additional support.
she is around 145/150mm/51/2 to 6in tall.
I have made, painted, wigged and dressed this doll – Because of this, no two are exactly alike – no matter how hard I try! they all have their own characters and quirky features!
Dolly joins the rest of my new ‘downstairs ladies’ also pictured –
Peggy with laundry basket, Ella washing clothes in a tub, and Margaret the Ironing lady.
Because dolls are created individually they can be made to order with specific clothing, pose, features and hair colour – to see more examples take a look at the people on the gallery page for ideas – and feel free to get in touch to discuss your own version!
