This one-off dining suite and cabinet set is not my usual style but I like to slip in a little Art Deco here and there, as I love the period! The distinctive plates are my own design based on the Bizarre range of Clarice Cliff the quintessential ceramics designer of the period. ( ‘Bizarre by Clarice Cliff’ was used as an umbrella name for her entire pattern range – and for the time the designs were, well, bizarre!)
The four seat table features place settings with two plates with matching lime handled cutlery, and ceramic table centre of flowers in an orange striped pot. The furniture is black with lime green padded silk seats, and the matching display cabinet is black with a lime accent line around the top and base with matching lime door knobs. The cabinet is packed with deco ceramics and silverware and is topped by a deco style clear and green glass garniture.
The TABLE measures: 150mm long x 90mm wide and 75mm tall (excluding contents) – the CABINET measures
35mm deepx 100mm wide and 130mm high
