Alan is my newest doll and is made to go with the potting bench and new wheelbarrow. He is wearing sage trousers and a white striped shirt – the trousers are tied off with string to prevent soil getting in his boots! he also has a stained canvas apron with leather straps and well used rake in his hand (loose not fixed in position – his arm Bends a little at the elbow so you have an element of being able to pose him). He is around 145/150mm/51/2 to 6in tall.
He is shown with the potting bench which is available separately in the vehicles and workbenches section of the website shop.
I have painted, wigged and dressed this doll – I love his beard and proper fingers not mittens hands! Because of this, no two are exactly alike – they all have their own characters and quirky features!
Alan has two nephews – Thomas and James – Thomas who is polishing shoes to go with the shoe cleaning workbench – and James is polishing the silver to go with the silver cleaning workbench – see separate listings for them.
