As the title says – time seems to be flying by and I have been finding it difficult to keep up!
I have to apologise to anyone on the mailing list who may have received more than one post notification email today (11th July) with the wrong text and date on it – pilot error on my part – I blame the heat melting my brain!
I had thought once my last show of the season was over things would calm down and I would have time to do all the things I had put off – but it seems that I am busier than ever!
But its busy in a nice way – I had a big push on in spring to rebuild and add to my stock of doll designs, and I have finally managed to add the new ones to the website shop – although I still have a few new ladies not quite finished to add yet. I also managed to get a commission finished for a wedding car that had been waiting for a very long time – but as the customer thinks it was worth the wait I’m not beating myself up too much for the delay!
I absolutely love this wedding car scene with a twist! The bride and groom are waiting to leave the reception, but the 1903 Rolls Royce won’t start and the honeymoon luggage is not stowed away yet as the valet is too busy watching the chauffeur trying to fix the car!

To finish off my spring/summer show season, last weekend I had a new show in Sheffield – there has not been one in that area before so I decided to give it a go – the attendance was good for a first show, so I’m going to do it again next year. There may be another new show on the horizon from the York show organisers – although I’m not sure of the details yet. And of course the biggest show news this year is that the KENSINGTON Christmas show is now 2 days. As we are unable to set up at the venue the night before, the show will be opening later in the day on Saturday and closing later, and will be open all day Sunday.
After getting this news blog up to date I am about to update the 3D printing blog with pictures and details about how I design and make some of the new pieces Pictured above) from my website shop.
I am also planning to add an article about working with casting resin to create water effects, as I am using it more and more – Ella the washerwoman (pictured above) is a good example – I designed the doll with hands to hold the wet looking clothing – they are two separate pieces which stand together – find out more when I have written the article! Like the title of this blog says ‘Just not enough minutes in the day!’
