Just grabbed a little time to update on whats been happening on the 3D printing side of things….
The Imperial Fruit Banqueting table is a great example of where I am at right now in my printing. I make the table, chairs, plates, glasses, crystal ewers and table centres. In fact the only things in this picture I don’t make is the cutlery and the condiments on each of the corners! My favourite bit on the whole table is the fruit in the centrepiece – I print individual strawberries, apples oranges and grapes, hand paint them then apply them to the urn centrepiece.
I am revisiting my initial experiments with crystal clear prints, and although it takes a little more processing, Iam really happy with my latest results – as seen here in the newest addition to my accessories range – a three piece set with table centre and a pair of ewers (now available in the website shop).
Pictured below is a one off dresser I have made to experiment with making furniture elements, and it has encouraged me to begin
experimenting on other pieces – one of the first I will be trying is a snooker table as a) they are so hard to get hold of to buy to dress, and B) the style of those available is just not what I want. My table will have six legs like a real one, not four like the current ones and will have proper pockets with net bags .
And that is the wonderful thing about 3D printing – If I can imagine it there is no reason why I cant print it!
I feel like my dolls are making progress too. I have a good selection of faces and hands now that I can apply to create anything I need – including sitting, driving a car and even lying underneath one like my new mechanic!
